busy...busy...

We have had a busy few months and we aren't into the season 'proper' yet!
We are often asked 'when do you eat?' by our guests. It's usually lunchtime and here's todays - poached eggs with asparagus on air-dried ham and tomatoes with a tarragon mayonnaise. Do I also admit to a small glass of chilled white wine? Of course, we're in France - it's compulsory!



We offer a four course dinner three nights a week and on other evenings a cold platter is available should our guests not want to venture out.

Starters
 
Caesar Salad

Roquefort, endive, apple and walnut salad – walnut oil dressing

Salad Lyonnaise – frisée, smoked lardons, poached egg and croutons

Baked goats cheese with beetroot and walnut salad

Blue cheese soufflé with parmesan cream

French Country Terrine with red onion jam

Imam Bayaldi – spiced aubergine and tomato salad

Seared duck breast in honey and cider vinegar sauce, sautéed potatoes

Fillet steak au poivre with home-made chips

Slow cooked pork cheeks with chorizo and butter beans

or celeriac purée and Savoy cabbage

Pork tenderloin with prune and Armagnac sauce or Roquefort sauce

Crispy pork belly with boudin noir and grain mustard mash

Roasted cod on crushed potatoes, chorizo, tomato and basil vinaigrette

Baked salmon with olives, green beans, anchovies and cherry tomatoes

Roasted chicken breast with herbs and Auvergne lentils

Chicken breast roasted with saffron, hazelnuts and honey, served with fruity couscous

Braised lamb shanks, dauphinoise potatoes and ratatouille

Moroccan Lamb Tagine

Ragoût of Lamb in Languedoc rosé wine with tomatoes and flageolet beans
